I always thought that in terms of advertising, branding and promotions, the hotel industry was not creative neither innovative compared to other industries such as the film industry or the clothes industry. Well things change...I found two good examples where hotel brands have re-thought how they could promote their brand.
Yesterday in the London Metro newspaper (the free newspaper given outside tube stations), Londoners have discovered the hotel promotion offer by Ramada Jarvis...the title of the promotion was "enjoy a one night stand with Ramada Jarvis"...quite an invitation no?
Another example?
Targeted for the French audience, Accor have used the "buzz" marketing which is a new way of developing a brand or a product by creating a "buzz" about something you hear from friends, colleagues...the word of mouth.
